Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Man with Van Hillingdon in respect of our operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting our business ethically, transparently, and in full compliance with applicable laws that prohibit modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking. This statement sets out the steps we take, and will continue to take, to prevent modern slavery in our business and our supply chains.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Hillingdon has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with any individual, contractor, or organisation involved in such practices. We expect the same high standards from all parties we work with, including suppliers, subcontractors, labour agencies, and business partners. Any confirmed breach of this policy may result in the termination of contracts or working relationships and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Our management team is responsible for promoting a culture where respect for human rights is fundamental to how we operate. This commitment is communicated clearly to our staff and to selected key suppliers as part of our onboarding and ongoing engagement processes.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Hillingdon provides transport, removal, and related services. Our supply chain includes vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel and equipment suppliers, uniform and consumable providers, and, where necessary, sub-contracted transport services. Although the nature and scale of our business mean that we consider the overall risk of modern slavery to be relatively low, we recognise that no organisation is immune from such risks and we are committed to active vigilance.

Risk Assessment and Supplier Due Diligence

We review our supply chain to identify areas where the risk of modern slavery may be higher, such as where goods or services originate from sectors or regions known to have increased vulnerability. Before entering into significant or ongoing supplier relationships, we seek to understand the supplier's approach to labour practices, working conditions, and ethical standards.

Our due diligence includes assessing whether suppliers have their own modern slavery policies, codes of conduct, or equivalent commitments, and whether they are willing to work with us to improve transparency. Where appropriate, we prioritise suppliers who demonstrate clear and effective measures to prevent modern slavery.

Supplier Audits and Monitoring

Man with Van Hillingdon is developing and implementing proportionate supplier audit processes to help verify compliance with our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery. These may include desk-based reviews of policies and documentation, requests for declarations or certifications, and, where justified by the level of risk, site visits or independent assessments.

Suppliers who are unable or unwilling to provide sufficient assurance regarding their labour practices may be subject to additional scrutiny or may be removed from our approved supplier list. We aim to work collaboratively with suppliers to address any identified concerns, but we will not compromise on fundamental human rights standards.

Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our staff, particularly managers and those involved in procurement or supplier management. Training and guidance are provided to help them recognise potential indicators of modern slavery, understand how to respond to concerns, and know when to escalate issues.

Man with Van Hillingdon encourages all employees, workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chains. Concerns can be raised through internal management channels or by contacting senior management directly. Reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and, where possible, confidentially. We will not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing process that requires continuous improvement. Man with Van Hillingdon is committed to reviewing and enhancing our policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they remain effective and proportionate to the risks we face.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be reviewed at least annually by our management team. The review will consider any changes in our business operations, supply chains, legal requirements, and best practice guidance. Where necessary, we will update our approach and communicate any significant changes to our staff and relevant suppliers.

By publishing this statement, Man with Van Hillingdon affirms its commitment to playing a responsible role in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking and to working with others to uphold the dignity and rights of all people.
